เมื่อวันที่ 15 มกราคม 2568 ที่ผ่านมา ศูนย์ PSU Esports Studio - Phuket ได้รับเกียรติจาก ผศ.ดร.นิวัติ แก้วประดับ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ และ รศ.ดร.พันธ์ ทองชุมนุม รองอธิการบดี มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตภูเก็ต ในการเข้าเยี่ยมชมศูนย์ฯ ซึ่งมีวัตถุประสงค์ในการผลักดันและสนับสนุนกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนด้านอีสปอร์ต พร้อมทั้งสนับสนุนการก้าวสู่ความเป็นเลิศระดับนานาชาติ ผ่านการเรียนการสอนในรูปแบบภาษาอังกฤษ และการจัดการแข่งขันระดับนานาชาติ

ในการนี้ ท่านอธิการบดีได้กล่าวถึงศูนย์ PSU Esports Studio - Phuket ว่าเป็นก้าวสำคัญของมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ในการพัฒนาศักยภาพของนักเรียน นักศึกษา และบุคลากรในด้านอีสปอร์ต ซึ่งเป็นอุตสาหกรรมที่กำลังเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็ว ทั้งยังตั้งเป้าให้ศูนย์ฯ แห่งนี้เป็นศูนย์กลางการเรียนรู้และพัฒนาทักษะที่ตอบโจทย์โลกยุคดิจิทัล และตอบสนองต่อความต้องการในตลาดแรงงานระดับสากล

On 15 January 2025, the PSU Esports Studio - Phuket had the honor of welcoming Assoc. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, President of Prince of Songkla University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pun Thongchumnum, Vice President of Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus, for an unofficial visit. The studio was established with the objective of promoting and supporting education in the field of esports. It aims to drive excellence on an international scale through English-based learning and the organization of international esports competitions.

During the visit, the President described the PSU Esports Studio - Phuket as a significant milestone for the university in enhancing the capabilities of students and staff in esports, a rapidly growing industry. He also emphasized the goal of establishing the studio as a hub for learning and skill development, aligning with the demands of the digital era and meeting the needs of the global job market.
